Is there parking nearby?
Yes. There is on-street parking nearby as well as multiple paid car parks within a short walking distance of the studio.
What makeup services do you offer?
I offer professional makeup in Christchurch for special occasions, events, formals, weddings and other celebrations, with looks ranging from soft glam to full glam.
Do you offer hair styling?
Yes. I currently offer hair curling, straightening and mermaid waves. Hair-ups and upstyles are not currently available.
Can I book hair and makeup together?
Yes. Hair styling can be added to your makeup appointment, depending on availability. If you are having your hair styled, please arrive with clean, dry hair that is free from heavy oils or styling products.
How should I prepare for my makeup appointment?
Please arrive with a clean, makeup-free face. Gently exfoliating and moisturising the night before your appointment can help create a smoother base.
Can I bring inspiration photos?
Absolutely. Inspiration photos are encouraged and help me understand the style, finish and level of glam you are wanting. Your final look will still be tailored to suit your individual features, skin and colouring.
How long does a makeup appointment take?
Roughly 45 minutes - 1hr 15mins depending on the look. Hair takes an additional 15 - 30 minutes.
Do I need to pay a deposit?
Yes. A non refundable deposit is required to secure your appointment and must be paid within 24 hours of booking.
Can I reschedule my appointment?
Yes. You also may transfer your deposit once with at least 48 hours' notice. If you reschedule within 48 hours of your appointment, your original deposit will be forfeited and a new deposit will be required to secure the new booking.
Can I wear lash extensions to my appointment?
es. You can attend with lash extensions, however makeup application around the eye area may occasionally cause some extensions to loosen or fall out.
How do I book a Christchurch makeup or hair appointment?
Appointments can be booked through the By Christie booking page. Your appointment is confirmed once the required deposit has been received.
